Pertaining to the genus Laminaria; specifically, noting that belt or zone of marine life which extends from low-water mark to a depth of forty to ninety feet, and which in British seas is characterized by the presence of Laminariaceæ, as well as by that of starfishes, the common sea-urchin, etc.
