satisfaction

The fulfillment or gratification of a desire, need, or appetite.

Pleasure or contentment derived from such gratification.

An instance of being satisfied or a source of gratification.

Assurance beyond doubt or question; complete conviction.

Compensation for injury or loss; reparation.

The opportunity to avenge a wrong; vindication.

The act of satisfying, or of fully supplying or gratifying wants or wishes; full compliance with demands; fulfilment of conditions.

In theology, the doctrine of satisfaction is the doctrine that the sufferings and death of Christ satisfied the requirements of God’s justice, and thus prepared the way for the forgiveness of sins. The word does not occur in this sense in the Scriptures.
