A part of a garment, such as a lapel, turned back to show the reverse side.

In dressmaking, tailoring, etc.: That part of a garment which is turned back so as to show what would otherwise be the inner surface, as the lapel of a waistcoat or the cuff of a sleeve.

The stuff used to cover or face such a turned-over surface, as a part of the lining exposed to view.
