purificator

A cloth used to clean the chalice during or after the celebration of the Eucharist.

In the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches, a cloth or napkin used to wipe the chalice before the mixture (krasis) and oblation, and the celebrant’s fingers and mouth and the holy vessels after the ablutions.
